Very good study resource, much much harder than exam. If you’re able to get through this successfully you will perform very well. The one caveat is there are a ton of questions about obsolete protocols and devices that Zacker includes that do not appear on the test objectives nor the test as well as a little too much detail in regard to certain concepts about power distribution and electricity/cabling that go beyond a Network+ level into actual engineering level.Sybex fairly consistently produces practice tests that are thorough and beyond the difficult of the exam so that’s not surprising, I just wish there was a little less time spent on areas that aren’t tested on

If you don't already know, the N10-008 was only recently retired, so if you want more general reviews, check the same book for that version.The book contains 7 tests. The first 5 each cover one of the 5 sections that CompTIA puts on their study guide. The second two are "real" tests, and IMO should be done timed, and as if for real.Pros: The style of question was similar to CompTIA's and despite my complaints, the language used was similar. Some of the questions were nearly the same on the real test. These tests are far harder that the CompTIA ones, and if you can pass these and have been through the prof messer videos, or any textbook, you're nearly guaranteed to pass. (Assuming plenty of other studying.)Cons: Does not prepare you for the 3-4 "practical" questions. Nothing I used did though, so I can't count that against them. It also tests far beyond the scope or expectations of the Network Plus exam. In all 7 practice tests, my best score was a 74/100 (failing). I passed the real exam with an 815/900 immediately after taking the practice tests (1 test a day leading to the real thing). I have some complaints with particular answers like saying the "best" thing to do if an installer installs crossover cables is to leave it because the switch can deal with it, or accidently leaving out https:// and http:// in a question that makes no sense without those headers. Overall, these are minor issues, and the vast majority of the issues I had with the book, I also had with the real test, which I suppose, makes it good practice.If you're looking at this review a year from now, I would certainly hope the editors have fixed my specific complaints by now.

This book helps me a lot to prep for what questions I'm going to be asked when I finally do the exam personally I go through each section and try and answer all the questions confidently if I don't then it's Youtube, Study books and AI to the rescue.. .Highly recommend this book if your going to take this exam it helps..
Great resource for network+
Helpful resource! However brought this book as brand new: however pages are folded and marks in the book!Luckily doesn’t affect what I need it for. Just a shame as these books are really not cheap!
