About the Author
Mike Holmes is the author and illustrator of the book My Own World; has drawn for the series Secret Coders, Adventure Time, and Bravest Warriors; and was a regular contributor to MAD Magazine. He created the comic strip True Story and the art project Mikenesses. He’s from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and now lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Meredith, and son, Oscar, along with Heidi the dog and Louise the cat. Much love to our dear departed Ella.

My son loves this series. He lets me know everytime a new book is released so I can order it for him. The prices is average compared to other markers. I personally don't recommend for children under 12 they're pretty violent series.

The product was amazing, such a good book for all ages, came in perfect condition. But the one thing was when it came, the truck was just parked in the middle of the road for about 20 minutes and then they finally delivered the package

We listen to this series in the car on the way to school. After Percy Jackson, which I was not a fan of, I did not want to let my son pick the next series. How very wrong I was. Wings of fire has great dialogue and character development. Each tribe is so interesting. This book is my favorite as Peril is my favorite dragon. The narrator is a superstar. She makes the characters clearly distinguishable and makes their personalities come alive. I think this is why I was not a fan of the Percy Jackson series. A good narrator makes all the difference and she is excellent. She should get an award.
Can’t recommend enough
This is my son’s all time favourite book series and he is obsessed with the graphic novels. My only complaint is there is only one per year lol. The storyline and graphics are amazing. My son constantly reads these over and over again. The character and world are well developed and it sucks you into the world, like you can pictures yourself in it. My son isn’t a big reader but he will devour these in a couple of hours
Engaging plot for young adults
My 13YO son is a reluctant reader but absolutely loves this series of graphic novels. It takes itself quite seriously and follows a group of five dragonets from different tribes who are prophesied to save their world from looming conflict. The books are fantasy based and have some complex themes that resonate with teens. I think there are more in the series but not all are graphic novels yet.
