Nice set of decodable books. I like how each book focuses on one skill group. Like other reviewers, I wouldn’t say the books are funny. Storylines are very simple, which is common among decodable readers. Overall I think these are great reading practice books for around a 1st grade reader. This set isn’t for beginners as it does require knowledge of basic reading skills. For beginning readers I would recommend set 1 with short vowels.

Easy to use and great for kids! Funny stories children absolutely LOVE!!! Small size and the price at $17 is great for so many stories they will read and learn from. Love the small size but was expecting bigger from the picture and thought there’d be a handle for the box but isn’t like pictures

I love these books, this is the third set I’ve purchased and my 5 year old is thriving. Her reading skills are blossoming from these books, we read them together and she reads them out loud on her own. They are fun, engaging and wonderful at home practice for skills learned in the classroom and reinforced at home.

I am a former teacher, returned home, school, mom and I’m so picky about the resources. I use a lot of books like these have really dumb storylines that are hard for kids to get into but my kid who is struggling with enjoying reading loves these and I do too.
