A Great Tool for Building Writing Skills!”I recently picked up the Scholastic Success with Writing Grade 2 Workbook for my child, and I’m thoroughly impressed! This workbook is an excellent resource for helping young learners develop essential writing skills in a fun and engaging way. It’s filled with a variety of exercises that cover everything from sentence structure and punctuation to story writing and creative thinking.What I love most about this workbook is its clear, easy-to-follow instructions. The activities are well-organized, and each section is designed to build upon the previous one, helping my second grader progress step by step. The lessons are short and manageable, which keeps my child focused without feeling overwhelmed. Plus, the bright illustrations and kid-friendly examples make learning feel like a fun adventure rather than a chore.The workbook also includes helpful tips and practice pages for handwriting and spelling, which have been great for reinforcing other language arts skills. I find this book to be a great resource for learning some basic writing skills. Maybe a little easy for some 2nd graders. I used it with my boys who are in first grade and they could complete it with little difficulty.

I wanted my kid to have excellent writing skills and establish them early on in school. I’m sure her school does a good job teaching writing, but I wanted to create my own writing program for her and not rely on what the school does or does not do. So, I found this series of writing workbooks for several grade levels, and I thought it would work. I also used the grammar series of grade workbooks from the same publisher to work together. To provide other resources for my writing program, I enrolled her in Beestar’s innovative reading exercises online. Reading is the third part of my writing program.I think the writing workbook is a good one, but more than anything it depends how it is used.

Our go to for extra practice
Purchased for my grade 2 child after receiving his report card which stated he was behind on his writing. We emplemented extra practice at home and they enjoyed the basic yet engaging work sheets. The workbook covers all aspects of grade 2 writing: printing, sentence structure, verbs/nouns/ect, story writting, problem solving, idea expansion ect. We save a huge improvement overall once the book was completed

Great work book
I really like this work book. My child needed more practice with writing and this is very helpful. I would recommend it and will by the next grade for the summer time.
