This Book Is Good On All Fronts
I got this book recently, so far it’s amazing the story development is extremely well written out, and for the quality of the art no wonder it’s well revered in the Star Wars community. If you’re looking for a good story without the hype or inherent value I’d recommend getting it second hand. Happy reading!
Awesome Comic Series!!!
This is a Great Comic series! I love it. Like one reviewer stated, this book collection is a Jedi detective story in which the story takes the reader on a journey of whether the main character is going to clear himself and get through okay or are the forces after him going to succeed. This series takes us back to the city world of Taris introduced in the original KOTOR game. That is where the action begins and our story takes off from. You also get to see the political side of the Jedi and secret societies as the main character is pursued by a secret group of Jedi called the covenant and I won't say any more about them as to not spoil the story. All in all a great collection and I wish that Marvel would put a hustle on getting the other two volumes ready.

The Old Republic Saga
The difficulty in reading tales of the Old Republic is that the characters are all new. We learn about them through the epic storytelling and imagery like in Star Wars Legends Epic Collection comics. Once the initial introductions are made, the stories are as intriguing as any other Star Wars story. The Old Republic Volume 1 consists of Crossroads, Commencement, Flashpoint, Reunion, Days of Fear and Nights of Anger. We learn of Zayne Carrick's unfortunate tale of misbegotten woe and those it effects along the way. The Old Sith Wars predate the Old Republic as the Mandalorian Wars are the current battle across the galaxy. The characters are new as are the planets but the story is always about good and evil and what a fine line it is between the two.
One of the best lineups from the Star Wars Legends
As someone who has followed the old canon since my preteens, I can honestly say that the Knights of the Old Republic comic series is one of my favorites; both in Legends and in comic books. Knights of the Old Republic, or KotOR, as it's known for short, is THE Star Wars prequel for me. I wasn't too thrilled with the prequel movie trilogy but KotOR succeeded. It takes place a long time before the Skywalker saga and various stereotypes are broken. For one thing, the Jedi aren't all good and the Sith aren't all evil. And the so-called gray area isn't so neutral. Plus, it has a compelling plot. It also ties in neatly to the KotOR games that premiered in 2003 and 2004 respectively.If you want a good Star Wars prequel but were bored by the prequel movies, this is where to look.
A MUST READ for any Star Wars fan
Kotor has become my favorite Star Wars comic series thanks to this volume. It's a great volume with lots of content. I love the layout and the paper helps the art to stand out. A must read for any Star Wars fan! Thanks to John Jackson Miller you'll be laughing, crying and all around emotional within these pages. The only down side is that this volume only contains the first 18 issues of Kotor and if you want to read the rest of the series you have to buy the old Dark Horse Omnibus's which are pretty hard to find.
Love the adventures of Zayne and Jarael
One of the best series in all of Star Wars. The connections to the KOTORgames alone makes these worth the read!

Allgemein:Auch wenn diese Reihe mittlerweile nicht mehr Teil des Kanons ist, hat sich Marvel glücklicherwiese dazu entschieden diese Comicserie als Teil der Legends neu aufzulegen. Bis auf Leuten, die unbedingt Wert darauf legen die Originale von Dark Horse zu besitzen, würde ich jedem dazu raten diese Version zu kaufen, da selbst gebrauchte Bücher dieser Serie von Dark Horse mittlerweile mindestens 70€ kosten.Zur Story:Die Story spielt zur Zeit des Mandalorischen Krieges, also noch bevor dem ersten KOTOR. Der Padawan Zayne Carrick muss mitansehen wie seine Freunde von ihren Meistern umgebracht werden und ihm die Morde anhängen. Fortan befindet er sich auf einer verzweifelten Verfolgungsjagd quer durch die Galaxie und versucht einerseits seine Unschuld zu beweisen und andrerseits zu verstehen, warum seine Freunde ermordet wurde.Eine kleine "Warnung" an dieser Stelle:Auch wenn Zayne und seine Gefährten auch ab und zu mal unfreiwillig in den Mandalorischen Kriegen eingreifen, sind der Großteil der Abenteuer für die Galaxie nocht relevant. Wer also einen Protagonist bevorzugt, der wie Revan oder Luke Skywalker das Schicksal der Galaxis mitentscheidet, wird mit dieser Reihe also nicht unbedingt glücklich.

Para aquellos que no han tenido la ocasión de conseguir estos cómics en tomos individuales, este es un buen recopilatorio que junta los primeros ¿10? números de la serie. Si buscas, se puede encontrar a buen precio y merece la pena. Únicamente, creo que tiene un exceso de tinta y si se sujeta fuerte al leerlo (porque pesa) te puedes manchar los dedos y dejar marca en el propio cómic.
