This book did not help me on the P.E. exam. There was this question regarding clearances based on NESC standard. This book did not have those tables. It just referred to those tables. Pretty annoying tbh. If you are taking the P.E. exam, id just suggest just printing the relevant tables. That being said, it is a good book for someone wanting to learn about the standard and the basic theory behind it.

I work solely in this industry and personally know the author. If any part of your job involves the NESC code book, then this book is a must. It clearly defines all of the rules in the actual code book in clear terms and provides illustrations for all of the rules which is very helpful especially when training new people.
