I've been looking for a book of guidance in using my new Air Fryer and found it in this book. Great advice in this book. It is NOT a cookbook in the real sense, it does have some recipes of course but they relate to content on how to use your Air Fryer. I have purchased many "Dummy" books in the past and this one does not disappoint.

My husband received an air fryer for Christmas last year and hesitated to use it. So this year I got him this book and we had wings the very next night!!!

I actually borrowed this book from the library to see if it was what I wanted. Although used, I intend to use this book often. It was very clean and hardly damaged. thank you.

I just replaced an older stove and the new one had a convection oven and "air fryer" built in. I thought this would be a good book to get started with but was disappointed. I am sure the recipes are great, but without a cooking chart I can't use it as a quick reference to just cook some food. Instead, I have to find a recipe with similar ingredients and either use the recipe or improvise.Only for dummies if I limit myself to the recipes provided.

While this isn't the best air fryer cookbook I own, it contains enough good recipes for me to want to keep using it. The basic information in the front of the book often seems like filler -- I guess that's where the "for dummies" comes in -- but some of it, including meal plans for certain types of diets, can be useful. I like that the recipes include baked goods as well as typically fried foods since an air fryer is, after all, a mini convection oven, something that's often overlooked.The Fried Green Tomato BLTs were delicious, as were the Cajun Breakfast Potatoes. Individual apple crisps, baked in their own ramekins, make a great dessert for the family But the Parmesan French Fries were so-so. Many recipes require cooking in batches, especially if you have a smaller air fryer, and that will double cooking times; for me, that's often a deal-breaker. Photos are limited to a section in the middle of the book and are hardly comprehensive, so if you need pictures of recipes to envision whether they are worth trying, you'll be disappointed.The authors state that the cookbook is for those who are new to air frying or who are considered whether to buy one. I can't believe anyone would pay for such a cookbook if they didn't already have an air fryer. Although I'm not new to air frying, I haven't been doing it for more than a year, and I found that this cookbook added some good recipes to my repertoire.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann
