(NOT A REVIEW OF THE BOOK CONTENT, JUST THE CONDITION)Nothing appears wrong with it aside from it arriving with a tear in the front cover. I bought it new. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard it is riddled with typos.

It's a book. It'll work. Continually disappointed when I pay for an overpriced brand new item and it's damaged upon opening. Look for a used one in good condition and save some money... it will probably be in the same shape as this "new" one.

I purchased this textbook for a graduate-level course in a CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I've only made it through the first chapter and while the content seems adequate, I find the number of editing errors in just the first chapter to be extremely discouraging. Most of them were punctuation errors, but the fact that the text refers to Laverne Cox as Lauren Cox is a glaring, obvious mistake and I can't imagine how this text made it to print without anyone noticing (which makes me concerned for the reliability of the content itself).
Book in bad conditions
I did not like the condition of the book for that money.
