5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest book for GI

Such an amazing book

1.0 out of 5 stars Incomplete delivery

J. · June 6, 2024

This textbook is the reference in GI. The 1 star is because of Bolo delivery service. They sent volume 3 only out of 3 volumes and it didn’t seem new. Their remedy is return it and not send the other 2 missing books. Weird!

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY

A. · October 4, 2022

I only received one volume as mentioned by other reviewers and it’s volume 3. What am I suppose to do with this if I don’t have volume 1 & 2? Unfortunately, I can’t return or exchange since I am out of the window. Waste of $500+

1.0 out of 5 stars System Error Dispatching Only Volume 1

A.K. · June 25, 2022

There is an error in the inventory system. When you purchase the book, you'll receive only Volume 1. I complained and requested a replacement, only to receive an additional Volume 1. Decided in the end to return it and buy from somewhere else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only volume one

H. · June 21, 2022

I thought it includes all 3 volumes at this full price, but I received only volume one.

Room for improvement

J.H. · June 24, 2022

Yamada's has been the staple textbook in gastroenterology and the 7th edition does a good job of maintaining the reputation of its predecessors. While undoubtedly a valuable resource, it sometimes falls short of expected standards for a work of reference: the text has many more typographical errors (missed spaces, double spaces, misplaced reference brackets) than would be acceptable for a work several years in the making and proofreading; it appears that writing closed in late 2020, it's a shame that important works (e.g., Chicago classification 4.0) published at that time did not make it into the book - despite a substantial overlap between CC4.0 authors and authors of the esophageal chapter in the textbook; the online reference bank is unfortunately also sloppily constructed, references duplicated for some chapters, missing for others; figure & table legends mislaid in the accompanying text; "highlighted in green in the table" - the table has not a single ounce of green color ...Disclaimer: only Volume One arrived with the order (refund still in progress a month after I have sent the book back) - this appears to have affected other users as well (see review on Bolo US). My rating is therefore based solely on the content and the 3 stars do not reflect my satisfaction with overall order and refund process.Postscript (July 2022): the refund has been completed and the packaging error resolved - all three volumes were shipped with the repeated order.
