Books for dummies. My dummy still hasn’t read it though.

It's actually kind of funny because of course the ex reponded toxically about the gift, sneering, saying I should read it first.I responded, "no problem, give the book to me to read after you complete it," as I would have been perfectly happy to discuss it's contents with her. Her mother instead started reading it and the last I saw it, she was halfway through the book and the mother's marriage appeared to be improving because her husband started spending more money on her😂

Great book and it has some very good points, but I feel like it's all over the place when you're reading it. It's hard to keep track of all the things you're learning because of how much it jumps around, but at the end of the day it's still a great buy.

This book I found reader-friendly, practical and full of ideas that had hardly occurred to me. For instance, the author explained - even stressed by repetition - that great communicators are great listeners, good and first understanding other people. This was mind-blowing to me, as I had felt the need to make myself understood. I felt compelled to see this whole topic from a different perspective. I am thankful for this journey!

It's useful enough to know the basics of effective communication in oral situations, as well as written (traditional and virtual media, including social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). I use it for my Effective Communication class as a guideline to create exercises for my students in a bachelor level, from different academic programmes such as engineering, administrative, medicine, etc... and it has worked out for most of them.

I chose this book because the format was perfect for my husband. Not only was he enthused to receive it, but he actively wanted to read it. He likes the manual-style format of this book, so much in fact that he is looking at the entire line of For Dummies titles.

great book, explains effective ways of communicating & improving your communication skills. It has alot of information, but all is useful. Even incorporating some of the advice will help you communicate better. This book is humourous but straight to the point. It will help you look at communication in a whole different light and help you appreciate ways in which your communication can be improved. It also goes through challenging communication scenarios which even the communication savvy person will struggle to deal with effectively.Great as a refresher if your good at communicating, excellent if your crap at communication (i.e. me) and need some helpfull & relevant advice to help you communicate well in the workplace as well as on a personal level. It does require alot of behavioural change, so get ready for the challenge and unfamiliarity, but ultimately it will pay off big time

This was a great book I really enjoyed reading it and then my partner read it to both really enjoyed it I would definitely buy from the seller again
Only for Beginners
The book trys to say something about any kind of communication. That is the problem. It can only scratch the surface in most of it's topics.

Love how the chapters blend well, easy to relate too.
Very well written and the format is useful
Recently found out I may have Asperger's syndrome. Was advised to purchase some books from the dummies range. Have so far diped into a couple of chapters and also started to read from the beginning to read it from cover to cover. This book is very well set out. It has a section on facial expressions and recognising body language an also using your own body language. Understanding the concepts explained in the book is easy. For me practicing the skills in the real world will be the difficult part. Even if you are a good communicator you will learn some useful tips I would recommend this book and if you really would like to study the subject further you could buy a more detailed and technical book after reading this one.
