Though I am still on Chapter 1 this resource seems to be a great help. The videos associated with the book are also very useful. I am a slow learner but keep plodding along. I would definitely recommend to anyone trying to learn Koine Greek or just as a refresher.

Perfect for those who are beginning to attempt the Greek language. The book is designed to simplify the Greek word analysis, therefore making it accessible for anyone looking to begin the original language the New Testament was written in. From encouragement from a professor who truly cares and has genuine love for the Biblical Greek, to the alphabet and memory helps, to the need to know vocabulary, this book has everything for the beginner. More than that the book has recommendations for study tools from the beginner to more advanced students of the Greek language, and these recommendations come from two men that teach the language every day. With helpful walk-throughs, and practice exercises in a matter of weeks this book is designed to help a reader begin to read and comprehend the Greek New Testament. Also for teachers, this is the perfect book to begin to teach at your local church to those members who are also interested in the original language.I have multiple books by Dr. Plummer and this one as the others does not disappoint.I highly recommend it above any of the other beginning Greek books that I have read with the only exception being Dr. Plummer and Dr. Merkle’s earlier book Beginning Greek.Oh yes, and also part of purchasing the book gives you multiple online video resources.

First, if this shows as "unverified," it is because I often get books outside of Bolo - but let's be honest, Bolo is often the best place for giving and reading reviews!Dr. Plummer is a seminary professor who's knowledge of biblical Greek is far beyond what most of us could ever hope to obtain. However, this book is written in a way that someone with no understanding of Greek can pick it up and learn a great deal on word studies. Not only will it help you learn how to properly conduct word studies, it will help you in identifying so many of the errors people often make in doing word studies, helping you to avoid them yourself.This book can truly benefit everyone (as suggested in the title!). While the scholar might find less value in the first section of the book, parts on resources as well as learning how this book can be used to teach others in your local church will still provide you with great value.Dr. Merkle and Dr. Plummer, both having written many scholarly textbooks on Greek, have done a great service by making this resources easy to read while guiding the Christian through a process of better understanding words penned by the authors of the Bible in it's original language.

To be honest, I am a seminary student who is taking Biblical Greek for the purpose of learning the original language. This book definitely supplements my textbook and I am very appreciative for having this as a resource. We all need good resources if we want to study God's word as it was originally written. I have already shared this resource with two others who said that they need a good tool to help them with their individual studies and they both found it a valuable resource. I also shared this with a pastor friend who is forty years removed from Seminary and has lost his ability to read Biblical Greek. He appreciated me bringing this book to his attention and is thinking about using it as a spiritual discipline class, for himself and those in his congregation who are interested. Thank you Dr. Plummer (and Dr. Merkle) for your disciplined efforts to make Biblical Greek accessible to everyone.
A must for all believers
There is NO excuse for any Christian believer not to e able to read, speak and understand basic grammar of New Testament Greek. At least so he or she can understand most comments made in Bible commentaries. In itself it will not guarantee your grasp of the truth of Scripture but it will be of great help toward that. It will certainly help to avoid many errors. Merkel and Plummer have produced much wonderful stuff and involvement with Daily Dose of Greek is highly recommended. Let this book (and accompanying on-line helps) be a necessity for you. Buy now and begin a journey of joyful learning.
