The Uninvited: The True Story of Ripperston Farm

Description:

Originally published in 1979 – The Uninvited is the true story of an ordinary family living in South Wales who found themselves entangled in a series of unearthly encounters in 1977. At first the manifestations were minor. UFOs were sighted in the area, huge burnt patches were found in the fields, television sets and cars blew all of their wiring…but before long the Coombs family was visited by weird lights, huge white figures and a glowing disembodied hand. Their lives were disrupted and they were terrified by something unidentifiable and unimaginable. They were a focus for The Uninvited. The story you are about to read is true, though you will doubt it. With good reason. This is the story of an ordinary family caught up in the extraordinary, for whom the impossible became possible, the unbelievable became believable, and science fiction became science fact. You will find no explanations for the events reconstructed here, for there are none. What took place was as beyond explanation as it may seem unbelievable. It still is...THE UNINVITED is the story of an ordinary family living in South Wales who found themselves entangled in a series of unearthly encounters in 1977.Dubbed “The British Roswell” and “The Welsh Triangle” by many publications, the story of the events surrounding the Coombs family and Ripperston Farmhouse live on to this very day.BookRefine Publishing is aware of previous copies of this book that had formatting issues due to bad quality control. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read

I found it was a really good book , a few typos , but who the check cares.

4.0 out of 5 stars The UK’s Version of Skinwalker Ranch

P. · August 25, 2023

I enjoyed reading this story for the story. On the other hand, the amount of typos in this version made it a frustrating read. The story revolves around a series of events and UFO sights in what is now known as the “Welsh Triangle.” The “main event” happened in and around Ripperston Farm and appeared to target the Coombs family. Many of the events seem similar to those that have been documented in the US’s Skinwalker Ranch. This is a must-read if you are a UFO and paranormal believer and even if you’re not a believer, these events were so well documented in and around the area by countless others, that it just might make you one!Five stars for the actual story minus one star for the poor editing and typos of this version.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of typo's!

Good book! Then why only three stars? TYPO'S!!!!! Good gosh! It was like they stopped correcting errors half way through the book

2.0 out of 5 stars Badly written

K. · January 13, 2022

I read this book years ago and enjoyed it a lot so I thought I would read it again. The reason I gave it only two stars is not because of the story, it is the way the kindle edition has been written/copied. It is almost like someone who has English as a second language (and is not very good at it) wrote it. There are words and sometimes half a sentence missing. I don’t remember the paperback version being that badly written.. it’s a shame because the story itself is good.

4.0 out of 5 stars There are things in this world that are unexplained.

S.H. · April 17, 2020

A story so fantastic as to read like science fiction but is not. Too bad this piece was not proof read or I would have given it five stars for its entertainment quality. Kindles are notorious for arbitrarily assigning words to my reviews and this book seems rife with this sort of error. Other than that, the story of unexplained and mysterious events the Coombs family experienced is spellbinding. Lights, visitations of frightening proportions, vanishings, sightings are just a short list of what the family endured. Almost as puzzling is the reactions of those living nearby and the lack of help from government officials. I read this book in a day if that is an indication of how engrossing it is.

2.0 out of 5 stars I do believe this family

E. · June 5, 2020

I do believe this family. I must say the ebook is so filled with grammar mistakes it was hard to read.

An incredibly series of events that undoubtedly happened.

D.C. · May 31, 2023

I found the people and events so credible that no other explanation for what occurred could really be possible! This is an essential read.

Very interesting but poor writing with many, many errors

R.v.d.V. · October 28, 2022

Although I am enjoying the subject of the book very much, the book is so much riddled with spelling errors and missing words that I just had to write this comment (my first ever on Bolo)... The book is very interesting, but for the publisher, please..... Just have it edited. It's worth it for all the people who are interested in reading the book.

Good read

Very interesting

Very important case study of direct alien -human interaction

h.c. · December 30, 2022

This story is one of the most revealing about alien encounters. The famioy are a normal hard working happy family until the alien presence near the farm.It shows how little we understand about their presence here on earth, and in this case it looks like it was for geological expolration or work .The high strangeness of cow herds easily moved around is very telling.A crucial addition to any serious alien presence researcher, and sensitively written , this book is a must.

Great story, loadsa typos!

D.C.G. · September 8, 2019

Great story but let down by appealing typos and missing words on Kindle format, hence 4 not 5 stars.
