A tremendously careful and statistically rigorous (I'm a data scientist, so I would know) take on much of the response to COVID 19. Neil and Fenton show how many of the official claims are contested by publicly available data.

I’ve followed their Substack for quite a while now and was very interested in reading their book. I decided to get the kindle version and was extremely excited to see all the hyperlinks to the articles and data referenced. This may be the best sourced and formatted informational book I’ve ever read. I’m now ordering the hardback. These authors turned out a comprehensive freakonomics book based solely on the Covid hysteria and its peripheral effects. These guys are punk-rock statisticians and I’m here for it all

Having subscribed to the WATN sub stack for years, I was ecstatic to get my hands on a copy of their book! Rivals the Real Anthony Fauci in terms of accuracy and detail. The other reviewer clearly didn't bother to read any of this book and doesn't care to understand the data behind the fear campaign on Covid.

This book has an immense amount of research in its content, countering the various aspects of the covid narrative, including the lockdown and the vaccines. I'd give it a 6/5 for content, but 2/5 for organization. Several of the chapters could be logically organized rather than chronologically organized.

So many people have written or told me numerous times that “epidemiology is not rocket science.” I was appalled to find that these folks did not understand the difference between the epidemiology of respiratory tract infection with viruses that do not cause viremia and viruses that move to infect the whole body, i.e., those that cause viremia.Another class of people I meet on the Internet are people who claim that “molecular biology is not rocket science.” It’s enough for such people to watch a video of a nutcase on the Internet to conclude that reading about the replication of RNA viruses makes no sense in comparison to what some unknown person said in a video. I could go on and on, so let me stop here.

This incredible book is NOT just about Covid-19. It should be used as a template to examine, deconstruct & understand how governments and so-called "experts" in the fields of statistics, medicine, science and the media conspired to frighten, threaten and coerce the British people from January 2020 until the beginning of 2022. Professors Norman Fenton and Martin Neil are able to express very complex issues via clear and compelling and inventive examples which blow apart the lies and disinformation I was fed about a disease named Covid-19 and the vaccines that followed. Although it may seem unrelated, I have discovered through Fenton and Neil's work that the same methods applied to distort the Covid narrative and the vaccines are also deployed against Israel. Disinformation is a powerful tool. It is used to control trusting people into accepting tyrannical measures that have never been tested during a pandemic, and it is also used to control a narrative around Israel, as an example, in order to shape policies that are harmful to our freedoms and our safety. I believe "Fighting Goliath" is a stand-out book filled with facts and solid interpretations and analyses that will be hailed for years to come as one of the most important studies about the 2020 pandemic. Because of the wealth of evidence that has now come to light years after Fenton and Neil wrote about it, there are no two statisticians I would trust more about any future subject. Thank you for this work.

The origins of virus chapter was genuinely informative and challenged my previous assumptions , and the section on testing and the possibility of pathogenicity being bacterial rather than viral is completely plausible. Future generations will be grateful to the authors. Sadly, this won’t be the last casedemic. However, truth will out.
