I bought this book for my kids for Christmas. This is a perfect book to explain to children why it’s improtant to be kind to all species.

So glad to have a book about veganism, but I found the text clumsy. The "educational tidbits" about each animal feels forced and isn't very interesting to my kid, so I skip that part every time. The flow and rhymes of the prose leave a lot to be desired and I find myself tripping over words. A lot of the terminology is totally unfamiliar "wool, bacon, etc" to my kid and so I don't think much of it makes sense to her. Would love a book that talks more concretely about not hurting animals for food, clothing, etc, without all the non-vegan terms that make no sense to a kid that's been raised vegan.

It’s so hard to find books that are appropriate for vegan kids, and this book helps my vegan daughter feel seen—because we are already making that compassionate choice the book talks about. I would definitely gift this to families who are newly vegan or thinking about making the transition to help support their vegan journey.

dieses kleine Büchlein, zeigt verschieden Gründe warum wir vegan sind, die Doppelseite wird in englischen Reimen gezeigt was ein Tier zum Beispiel besonders macht und dann kurz erwähnt warum wir es zum Beispiel nicht tragen sollen. Es ist schön gemalt. Es ist aber englisch.

Most adorable illustrations I've ever seen! Loved the book, and so has everyone I've read it to, humans and kids alike! Great short story with super cute rhymes that tell the very simple story that we should be kind to every kind, vegan is love, and we all have the power to make the world a better place. We can change the stories of so many animals that want to live just as much as we do. They are here WITH us, not FOR us, and books like these help to start our kids off learning the right values. I for one am very sad that my parents didn't raise me vegan, I guess they weren't educated enough yet, but ever since I was 10 years old and realized what was going on in the world, I went vegan and never went back. Will NEVER go back. I can't wait to raise lots of awesome vegan children, they are the future:)

I liked the illustrations, I love how it rhymes and how relaxing and warm it is but the kids didn't seem to be very excited although they did seem to appreciate the images, they're very young 5 and 3 so obviously they need either a bit more variety, less complexity and a story. Maybe when they're older they'll appreciate it more, either way the message is beautiful and I'll keep on reading it to them.

I liked the illustrations, I love how it rhymes and how relaxing and warm it is but the kids didn't seem to be very excited although they did seem to appreciate the images, they're very young 5 and 3 so obviously they need either a bit more variety, less complexity and a story. Maybe when they're older they'll appreciate it more, either way the message is beautiful and I'll keep on reading it to them.
