5.0 out of 5 stars Toddler's favorite book
This book became my 18 month old daughter's favorite book on the first night and we've been reading it multiple times back to back every night. The illustrations really catch her attention, and the book does a good job showing how kids eat and nap together in daycare. My daughter is starting next week and I hope this book has given her a preview of what to come :)
5.0 out of 5 stars very nice book
got this to prep my toddler girl for daycare...she enjoyed it
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it
I strongly recommend this lovely book for those kids who are not used to go to daycare! Helps a lottt for toddlers to understand the daycare situation and encourage them to love daycare!
3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty bad, but my son loves it, so...?
The pictures in this book are extremely mediocre. The story is as basic as can be, and doesn't really do much to acknowledge that kids might be feeling scared or upset about daycare ("Llama Llama Misses Mama" does a much better job of this). The writing is incredibly awkward, as the rhymes work, but the rhythm is so awful it makes my eye twitch (again, "Llama Llama" is much better here). And yet, for some reason, my son loves this book. LOVES it. The first couple of days we had it, he insisted on having us read it three or four times a day. Now, a couple months later, he still wants it several times a week. Go figure.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cute book
It’s a nice book to let kids know what to expect on there first day of school. Author explained it very well. Would recommend this book.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very Appropriate for the Occassion.
This book is just right for my daughter. Simple, cheerful and a little suspenseful too in the beginning. Each page contains bright and colorful details just what I need to point out different objects each time I read it. It’s perfect for such an important occasion.
5.0 out of 5 stars she's been really happy to go
My little one was about to start day care and I came across this book. It was really helpful to read this to her so she knew what to expect before she started. So far, she's been really happy to go.
3.0 out of 5 stars Clunky rhymes
I got this fora child who had never gone to daycare. The rhymes seem a little forced and after 3-4 pages my child consistently got bored of the book.
Great story book for explaining daycare to toddler in advance!
We got this one to help us prepare our toddler for her first day are experience. Light, beautifully illustrated, it quickly captivated her. We used it as an aid in visiting her daycare a few times prior to beginning and felt it helped her understand/recognize the place and the routine quite well. It became a "treat" every day, as she loved going through all the activities and interactions in the book. One minus, it's a soft cover with thin pages so we had to supervise the reading to make sure she doesn't rip it 🙂
Preschool Preparation and Conversation Prompt
I read this to my grandson before he started daycare and it made it so easy for him to transition. When he comes home each day my daughter also reads the book to him and ask which of the activities, mentioned in the book, he did that day. The perfect conversation catalyst for preschoolers.
Super cute, fun to read book!
My son will be starting daycare soon and this was the perfect way to show him what it’s all about. The reading is easy and flows smoothly.
Another great book in this series from Janelle McGuinness
Another great book in this series from Janelle McGuinness! She tackles these ordinary childhood moments in such a fun, relatable, way. This is a must for anyone with kids going off to daycare!
Helped with baby’s transition to daycare
