I found the current book to be a disappointment, not so much for the content, but because of the physical publication itself. As with Cecelia's first 2 books, this one is packed with a wealth of technical and well-organized content; however, the physical publication is lacking in several respects when compared to the first 2 books, my copies of which are hardbound; this book doesn't look like it's in any way related to the other 2. Reversible Knitting is softbound with a cover having a rubberized coating, which feels icky/sticky to touch as well as being a dust and fingerprint magnet, which is probably why the book ships with a protective cellophane wrapping. If the rubbery outer paper cover is removed, the inner book itself it similarly coated. Most of the content is black and white or grayscale, including most of the photos, all of which are of knit swatches. The typeface used is very small, very light and difficult to read. There are a few photos of swatches in color, but some are shown on a medium gray background that provides little contrast with the photo itself. Finally, I was disappointed not to find any inspirational garments or other knitted objects suggesting how to make use of the reversible stitch patterns.
