I find this to be an essential companion to the original book. It offers a ton of quizzes, reproducible flash cards, progressing tracking charts, and coloring pages for each page in the book. I like that each fact family has about 6 quizzes. Quizzes 1A and 1B always have picture clues built in to help the student remember the rhymes. Once they can solve one or more of these quizzes with the picture clues, they can move on to a quiz without picture clues. My tutoring student loves using the tracking form to see her progress and try to beat her last high score. The book has two forms of reproducible progress tracking forms. One is for a teacher to use with an entire class. The other is for a parent or tutor to use with a single student. There are also reproducible certificates to use for each fact family when a student gets at least 23 of the 25 problems on the quiz correct.

Well, for kids who need a little help and like a rhyme this is helpful. And it is great for the kids that are more kinesthetic (like to move their bodies). It contains pages that can be (should be) photocopied for multiple uses.It did not work for my perfectionist, easily distracted son who can't deal with distracting animations. He can only do plain and simple. But for my daughter who memorizes anything quickly, she loved it. Honestly, good old flash cards work wonders.

This is a great book and program. I also have the downloaded audio tracks that go along with it. After just a short time listening and working with the materials my daughter can't stop singing the songs and I'm pretty sure the songs and the math behind it will be burned into her brain forever. If you want your kid to have a leg up on learning the multiplication tables I definitely recommend this book and the other materials associated with it!Pros:Your child will WANT to listen to the songs and do the activities. Its a win win.Cons (none really):The music is infectious and catchy and you will find yourself singing along too, if only mentally.

I was disappointed that the rhymes were not more clever and integrated with each other. I don't think they would be much easier to memorize than the multiplication tables themselves.

The songs are so catchy, the illustrations are fun to color! I have one 9 year old, two 8 year olds, a 6 and 3 year old in the house and all of them are learning the facts (yes, even my 3 year old). The book is a complete lesson plan. It includes all the related terms, the coloring pages, system to teach, flash cards, challenges and tests. I would highly recommend this book- along with the songs to everyone. Great way to memorize the multiplication facts!

This looks like an awesome way to teach your new 3rd graders multiplication tables and such. Flash cards, and the iTunes songs really help bring it home. Top notch learning product! Both me and my wife, and Both of my Master Degree teacher in laws that taught elementary for over 35 years think this is a great way to teach your kids multiplication!
