That was her unsolicited review. She had to study for the SAT anyway so I picked out this book that boasted that it wasn't boring, along with Tutor Ted's other workbook. Over the months of studying, my daughter would occasionally read me some of the funny answers. After taking the test, she even took a picture of some pages before recycling the book. Hey, she's happy that the test is over!

My college counselor recommended I buy these books - and she was right! Ted's sense of humor makes it way more engaging than other test prep books. Great quizzes, lots of good strategy tips. I also used the Practice Test book and I feel way more confident going into the test.

As a tutor who's worked with SAT students for pushing 5 years now — and who has experience with several different companies, and several different books — I'm confident in saying that this is the most engaging, readable, and enjoyable prep book around. Why is that important? Because students will actually use it!I reference this book for all of my students, as it's a great way for kids to put in 20-30 minutes of prep and learning without feeling like they're overloading themselves. 11th and 12th grade is draining enough — adding hours and hours of practice problems on top of that is overwhelming, so with this book, students can actually get that all-important prep work in, but in a way that doesn't drain them past the point of learning. The material is excellent, the teaching precise, and the strategies spot on. Would recommend for all tutors and all students, no matter your score goals!

I first discovered these books through suggesting the ACT version for my students, and am so happy that an SAT one is now published! This book truly works for any student no matter his/her score goals. Ted does a great job of breaking down the test into ONLY the information you need to know, and provides insights that I haven't heard from anywhere else in all my years of tutoring at several different companies across the country. Highly recommend the ACT version too!

I am a tutor, and I love this prep book for my students! It gets deep into strategy as well as content, it has lots of practice problems, and- most of all- it's fun and funny! Which means my students will actually do the assigned reading! Also the tips and strategies are spot on. Very good book all around.

This book helped a lot in understanding how the SAT is designed. I have studied for the SAT with other books that were really difficult to get through -- not this one! It was funny and made sense in how to tackle the test. It almost -- ALMOST -- made the test fun enough to do again.
