The author’s meticulous research combined with his years of experience provide a well rounded and well founded description of AI. He reviews the history, present circumstances as well as the probable future in an AI dominated world. Despite being lengthy, the book is a fantastic read and is easy to understand. In addition, the book is digestible as it is broken into five parts. At the beginning of each part the author summarizes the previous material and provides a glimpse of the information that will be covered. This book is a must read for anyone remotely interested in AI, or its potential effect on humanity. This is a high value publication. I will be sure to purchase any of this author’s future publications. Highly recommended.

Very informative book covering the history of AI. It also covers a high level view of technology changes leading to today's Gen AI innovations. It discusses industrial automation, Robots, Cobots, RPA and the ongoing research, eg on synthetic biology. It also gets into utopian and dystopian views of future of AI with the mention of popular science fictions. What I love about this book is the heavy research material captured in 24 pages in the reference section. This book is a good read for those who are interested to know more about AI, as well as students and researchers who are looking for materials to support their ongoing research re societal impacts of AI.

Very informative book covering the history of AI. It also covers a high level view of technology changes leading to today's Gen AI innovations. It discusses industrial automation, Robots, Cobots, RPA and the ongoing research, eg on synthetic biology. It also gets into utopian and dystopian views of future of AI with the mention of popular science fictions. What I love about this book is the heavy research material captured in 24 pages in the reference section. This book is a good read for those who are interested to know more about AI, as well as students and researchers who are looking for materials to support their ongoing research re societal impacts of AI.
