And it's an easy read - one rule to a page, with stunning pics of the author's home generously placed throughout the pages. I love to read things for myself and I'm also very visual, so this book checks all the boxes for me! I've never felt so empowered by having all this wisdom and expertise at my fingertips, in one beautiful book. The author outlines 100 "rules" that will benefit all readers, whether they live in a tiny apartment or a sprawling mansion. These principles plus the corresponding photos of the author's own home give direction rather than tell readers how their home should look. As an added bonus: Rule 12 (Admire, Don't Acquire) has made a huge impact on virtually every area of my life, not just my ideas about decorating. Highly Recommend!

This book helped me figure out design principles for why I did like something/way of arranging a room, and why I didn't. And I liked that she encouraged 'shopping' from your house inventory because it can bring a whole new freshness with a re purposed item, or arrangement.

Great read that gave me the confidence I needed to make design decisions in my house. There are many tips thaaat I have been using a lot. The only downfall is the author's aversion to colour, being intense sometimes.

The book is written in a friendly manner that makes interior design approachable. I like colour and the book is designed around using neutrals.
