The Aromatherapy Beauty Guide is broken down into easy-to-digest sections:

    The Foundation

Danielle discusses the essential properties of 16 carrier oils like Coconut Oil, Jojoba, and Marula Oil. Plant butters such as Shea butter as well as herbal infusions are also featured for their healing and therapeutic properties.

    Essential Oils
35 essential oils are featured from Bergamot and Carrot Seed to Roman Chamomile. Discover all you need to know about essential oils including the biosynthesis of essential oils, the genus and varieties as well as a directory of the oils best suited to your personal care and needs.

Creating Your Own Personal Care Products
Over one hundred (100) formulations with easy-to-follow instructions on creating products for the face, body, bath, pregnancy and breastfeeding and personal care products for men.

Danielle Sade, BSc, CAHP has over thirty years of experience teaching and practicing complementary health practices where she creates educational certification programs in aromatherapy and also leads workshops in making natural product formulations for personal and professional use.

She's passionate about sharing the sound scientific basis upon which aromatherapy is built and making this invaluable information available to everyone. The aromatic molecules of a plant not only have the power to shift the way you feel but the essential oils from plants also have powerful therapeutic properties. It's the dynamics of these therapeutic actions that form the foundation in Danielle's successful approach to skin care.

Danielle was also inspired to write this book because she herself has experienced skin sensitivities that didn't improve even after visits to skin specialists and conventional therapies. When the symptoms didn't subside, she took matters into her own hands and sought out a natural-medicine healing approach through essential oils.

Making your own natural botanical creams and lotions is surprisingly simple and very satisfying -- you'll soon be on the road to recovery and living a more natural lifestyle.

While the book does not shy away from chemical terminology such as METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE, it does not drown you with unnecessary pompous descriptions or information. It simply tells you in which products it can be found, what the exposure risks are and what studies have concluded in three sentences all under the most important heading of : CHEMICALS YOU CAN LIVE WITHOUT.The over 30 years of experience in teaching and practicing which the author has, shine through beautifully in the way he book is written and broken down (four parts). The sections are clearly color coded making it a breeze to find exactly what you are looking for. Part 3 is certain to become a favorite of anyone because it presents the essential oils in a complete manner without becoming overwhelming nor boring. Complete descriptions include the botanical name (extremely important) description, cautions, precautions, main chemical components with their benefits/warnings and last but not least: the guidelines for using. But dont worry about the calculator, you wont need it because even when you are told is a X% dilution, it also tells you exactly how many EO drops per milliliter you need.As far as the formulations: I made the first, and I was so excited i shared it with one person...which became twenty within a week wanting to know more about it and offering to pay for their own jar...If you are in business that is great, but my plan was just to pamper myself....

EXACTLY what I was looking for. A very well written and organized book. She covers basic skin anatomy, types and common conditions. Then, an in depth review of carrier oils, essential oils followed by treatment recipes. This is a quality, well bound book that I am certain to reference for years to come.

After reading an article by a well known aromatherapist I ordered this and three other books. Oh. My. Goodness. This book is fantastic. It has a wealth of information about essential oils, carrier oils, and suggestions for use when creating personal care items. It is beautifully illustrated and well organized. I only received this today, but I've already made substantial headway in exploring it. I can already see I will be referring back to this often.

A must have book for any do-it yourself formulators of personal care products. Danielle Sade thoroughly explains the chemistry behind the ingredients (the essential oils and carrier oils) and the instructions are clear and concise. I have made approximately ten different products and each one was beautiful and very luxurious.A perfect gift for any aromatherapist or anyone interested in making lotions and personal care products.

This is my new favorite essential oils book! It is full of great step by step recipes and it doesn't stop there. It's loaded with information on a ton of other things: essential oils, carriers, butters and when you might want to use them. It even has recipes for different organs such as, kidney, liver, heart, etc. This book will be useful for both beginners and experts alike.

Skin treatments for all skin types, using essential oils!

    D.Y. · December 28, 2020

This book is very informative! I teach at an Esthetics School and needed something to compliment my lessons on aromatherapy and skin treatments. It’s very scientifically based, which I appreciate. There is a whole chapter on skin anatomy and skin types, why and how different essential oils should and could be used. I love all the recipes the author has included all the while caring about what chemicals are in essential oils and utilizing them safely on the skin. If you want a good read as well as useful information, this is the book for you!
