Excellent Christmas cookie book. My mom had it growing up and it’s been well used, so I bought a new one to keep the memories going.

My original 1963 edition of this book finally fell apart and I was thrilled to find this facsimile copy. This edition looks exactly like the original with exactly the same illustrations and the same terrific recipes. I was especially impressed at the quality of the facsimile - it was so well done that I was unable to find any difference between this volume and the 1963 printing.As far as the book itself, it really is the only cooky cookbook a person will ever need. It's filled with hundreds of recipes with easy to follow instructions and common ingredients. Many of the cookies are illustrated too so you'll know what the finished product is supposed to look like. My kids used this book to bake their award winning cookies for 4-H and County Fair competitions; I've also made hundreds of the recipes myself for school & church bake sales with every recipe a crowd pleaser. This book includes a chapter on historical cookies you can make and also contains fantastic icing & frosting recipes for decorating. An excellent book and one that every home baker should own.

This has been the favorite cookie book since the 1960’s. The original was used, over used and worn out. Each of my children received their very own copy for Christmas. I even added the notes we wrote in each book. They love it!!!

My mom had this cookbook and this brought back fond memories. I still like cookbooks because its doesn't go dark :) Also, I don't have to scroll :D

My Mom had a version of this cookbook from when she married my Dad in the 70s & taught me to bake cookies using this cookbook. I bought my own copy in the mid-2000s when I moved out but it was ruined when the TX Winter Storm caused a water main & pipes to break. I ordered this cookbook again as I moved into a new apartment but I have it now on display in my new house. The recipes themselves are classic but my favorite part is that the recipes have stories about the inventions/creations of the cookies. A great addition to any cookbook library & I hope that I will not need to buy this one again but I so plan on buying additional Betty Crocker cookbooks to continue growing my cookbook collection.

I grew up with this in our house and I still have my mom's original, but it is falling apart. This one can now take the place of my mom's and I also bought a copy for my child who moved away so they can make the same cookies I do at home, like my mom once did for me.

This cookbook has been in my collection for decades and I was delighted to see it available again - so I can give it to my daughter-in-law for Christmas this year. As an American girl growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, there were always fresh baked cookies in the kitchen! This cookbook includes all the American classics from Toll House Cookies to Snickerdoodles to Peanut Butter Cookies to Brownies! I have lived in the UK for a very long time, but there really is nothing in this country that compares to American style home-baked cookies!
