This was a great starter kit but i had no luck growing the seeds. But you cant control nature.

Only one seed of the 6 provided ever germinated and it was a weakling that didn't reach over 1" tall and then shriveled and died. I assured all procedures and conditions were followed per the guide book. The little scissors are too cheap and flimsy to believe. The little container is a round plastic cup, not the stylish square-shaped and footed container shown on the front of the box. I originally intended this as a small gift, but after viewing the contents, I decided to try germinating the seeds myself. The kit was too cheap-looking to gift to anyone.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews about the size of this item and others like it. Clearly those people have never seen any of these types of items on the spindles near the check-out counter at Barnes & Noble and other booksellers. They have been around for ages and are the perfect little starter for all sorts of things. I don't have a lot of room on my desk for frivolous things, so this mini bonsai kit was perfect to add a little something to the area of my desk. That is, if the plant grows...

I thought this would be a fun project for my husband and he was super excited about it but three weeks later and we still have no growth even after following all instructions.

1 seed sprouted but started withering after a few days. I did everything right. well according to the book anyway.also it does not come with "everything" needed to grow the plant. assuming yours actually grows beyond just a sprout, you will need a pot to transfer it to. I believe the instructions said a 6 inch one.

I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by what I got. The best part of the kit is the jack pine seeds, and the instructional booklet. The booklet goes into far greater detail about the science and art of bonsai than I'd expected, and seems to give good advice on the care and shaping of a tree. I planted my pine seeds a couple of weeks ago, and the first one sprouted today, so there's at least one viable seed out of the five provided.

Okay I'm very excited about my bonsai, but I have a question, it says to put the young sprout outside for a month...it was 20 degrees this morning and it will only get colder. Do I still put it outside or could I use inside lighting?
Ich bin Fan vom mini Bonsai Kit
Als ich vor einiger Zeit in den Staaten weilte fiel mir an der Kasse eines Offline Konkurrenten dieser Website dieses kleine Päcklein auf. Da ich seit ich zum ersten Mal Karate Kid geschaut habe ein großer Bonsai Fan bin wurde das erst einmal gekauft.Ich bin genau nach der Anleitung vorgegangen und es sind sogar 3 Samen gekommen. Da habe ich mich sehr gefreut. Leider musste ich dann wieder nach Deutschland und habe schweren Herzens meine Bonsai Bäumchen zurückgelassen. Naja wirkliche Bäumchen waren es ja noch nicht, aber traurig war ich trotzdem.Umso erfreuter war ich, dass ich das Mini Bonsai Kit auch in Deutschland bestellen konnte. Das ist mittlerweile 2 Jahre her.Das kleine Büchlein bietet zumindest eine kleine Einleitung. Klar kann man nicht erwarten auf den paar Seiten alles über Bonsai zu lernen, aber es macht Spass und bietet einen schönen Einstieg.Von mir gibts eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

The box was open and the pot is broken
The box was already open when it arrived and the pot was completely broken.
Late delivery, Broken pot, Waste of money
This is the worst thing I ever bought from Bolo. The pot was broken in pieces. There are only 5 seeds. And they sent a scissor which is not required actually.
Such a cutie
It is mini but has everything for you to get started with the bonsai art!Now we just have to wait for it to grow :)
