Very good materials list, step by step directions. Photos for most steps, but not all. Almost can be used by a beginner, but you need some basic carpentry or building skills. If this is your first build, pick a small, simple shed for practice. Ask friends if you don't understand something. This book will tell you about 95% of what you need to know.
Sheds for tools, gardens, and people
I’m not a handy person, nor have I ever built anything. That doesn’t keep me from dreaming about making something for my backyard someday. I most enjoyed the gallery of photos and found a lot to take inspiration from. This book contains instructions, but not enough for beginners

Great book for plans to build a shed. Lots of ideas and plans that are easy to modify for your needs.
Worth the price to anyone wanting to DIY a backyard storage shed
The detailed plans and instructions made it possible for us to build the storage shed we needed. The pictures, blueprints and supply list were perfect.

I was hoping for more images and design ideas. I already know how to build a solid foundation just needed ideas. But a great beginner book.

This is a good book for DIY type of person like me. I have already found one she plan I may end up doing. But will make a few changes to the shed plan's. Good for the money I have to say. where other companies want to charge a arm an leg for something like this. THUMBS UP TO THIS SELLER 100 PERCENT. An a great price.

This was a great place to start a shed project. The book has some complete shed designs. We ended up designing our own based on 2 of them.

It’s ok for details and what not. Good read while sitting on the porcelain thinking seat. Can find better plans online for free if you have a clue

From the smallest to the largest, this book shows you how. I've never been disappointed by Black & Deckers' books and this one is no exception. For my fellow inhabitants of Blighty, yes this is an American book with American measurements but there is zero problem with this since you'll be customising your own shed.
Errors in the details
I’m commenting on the 4th edition. I suppose it’s good for ideas, but there are numerous errors when you get into the details and therefore I think you could find yourself in the weeds if you take it verbatim and start building based on these plans.I chose the ‘modern utility shed’ design, so my comments apply to that specifically because I haven’t gone through the details of the other designs, but be aware.Errors I’ve found so far:- the ‘floor framing’ diagram shows the floor sheathing, not the framing. There is no floor framing diagram.- the roof framing diagram is labeled ‘roof wall framing’, which is no big deal in itself but suggests nobody actually proof-read this before publishing- the roof framing diagram shows 14’ total width, but if you add up the various pieces as shown, you get 14.5’. Bummer if you’ve already cut your 4x4 roof beams to 14’ length.- some items in the material list are specified as ‘pressure treated’ for no clear reason (e.g bottom and top plates). Diagrams appear to show normal untreated lumber, which makes more sense.The net of it is that I’m going to try to avoid the weeds during construction by going through every dimension and item in the material list, and this is taking lots of time. Thanks so much, Black and Decker.
