About the Author

Cally Oldershaw is a geologist and gemmologist. She is the author of 15 books on gemstones, and Earth science topics including volcanoes, earthquakes, and oceans and seas. Cally has appeared on television and radio and was the Curator of Gemstones for the Natural History Museum, London and the first Lady Chair of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. She studied at University College, London and has been a guest lecturer for the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and London.

As with all of the other books in this series, it is fantastic. A beautiful book!Unfortunately, the corners were damaged in shipping (bent and white corners). This is not the first time, Bolo, and I'm seriously considering not ordering books here anymore.Edit: Replacement arrived promptly after this rating.... was packed exactly the same as the last book and was damaged exactly the same as well.Bent and discolored (white) corners. Sending it back AGAIN....
