Amazing book! We homeschool our kids and I bought this as a supplement to our science. The pictures are vibrant and clear and the information is detailed but kid friendly. It’s been fun looking through it and seeing what catches my son’s attention!

This has been an excellent first encyclopedia for my 6-year-old. He reads it himself and I read to him. It has facts on a lot of subjects that he's interested in and has helped spark interest in others.

Got this for my kindergarteners first encyclopedia. I had a DK kids encyclopedia as a kid decades ago and am so happy that I can share my love of knowledge with my kid with this book. Every night we pick a couple of random pages to read about. ALthough now he is nervous about the earth getting too hot after we read the climate change page oops

The book is great, it has everything I wanted. Beautiful pictures, great concise explanations that give kids a great general knowledge and encourages further reading. HOWEVER—for those that don’t tell their children things about sexuality at a young age, there is a very tiny bit on gay marriage with a picture. I bought this for my 6yo for Xmas; and I skimmed thru, thought it looked great. I missed the bit bc it is THAT small; and it’s perfectly tasteful, but I realllly wasn’t expecting to have to explain homosexuality to a six year old at 7:30 on a Tuesday LoL. So, heads up:) Great book, but if your family has more traditional values or if you just don’t really discuss sexuality in your home at early ages, heads up this is in here.

I bought this for my toddler and I to read together. It goes over a ton of topics so any time he shows interest in something we look it up and read about it in his encyclopedia 😁 I love it!

Got this for my kindergarteners first encyclopedia. I had a DK kids encyclopedia as a kid decades ago and am so happy that I can share my love of knowledge with my kid with this book. The book is great, it has everything I wanted. Beautiful pictures, great concise explanations that give kids a great general knowledge and encourages further reading. I bought this for my 6yo for Xmas; and I skimmed thru, thought it looked great. I missed the bit bc it is THAT small; and it’s perfectly tasteful, but I realllly wasn’t expecting to have to explain homosexuality to a six year old at 7:30 on a Tuesday LoL.
