The media could not be loaded. This book is absolutely beautiful. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old nature-loving daughter and she was pretty excited about the gold edge pages. It is jam packed with informative content along with beautiful photos and illustrations that are sophisticated enough for big kids to appreciate but simple enough for little kids to understand. My husband and I both studied art in college and really appreciate the artistry and educational content that this book provides. I will definitely be purchasing other books from this series for my science and nature loving kiddos.

I am excited to give this gorgeous book to my 9 year old grandson for Christmas. It is elegantly bound. The pages are thick and glossy. There are more volumes in this well made series of DK books by Ben Hoare that I plan to purchase after seeing how well made this one is, at a great price as well. Came in perfect condition. This is a book the entire family will enjoy.

A gift that will grow with your child! Out kindergartner loves this book. It covers an array of topics. You can learn about topics like dragonfly wings to gems and diamonds!Each page is beautifully illustrated with interesting facts. The DK collection is popular in our home and books we enjoy gifting to friends on birthdays. It’s a book that will come in handy and be enjoyed for years to come!

This is a beautifully illustrated introduction to the wonder of nature for children. It covers animal, plants, insects and minerals each with colorful illustrations. This is a book I will share with young children as they learn about the world around them. It brings out their curiosity which is the root of learning.
