The James Code by O. S. Hawkins is a devotional gem. He provides 52 Scripture Principles for Putting Your Faith Into Action, which can be read as a weekly devotional. At the end of each section is a Just Do It application or challenge to put the principles learned into action.The Book Of James is becoming one of my favorite books of the Bible and I found this book to be very valuable in my study of these practical passages. O.S. Hawkins points out that “in these 108 verses is a sort of code – a James Code- that outlines how we can put our faith into action in the normal traffic patterns of everyday life.” He focuses on object lessons, commentary and practical steps that make the wisdom of the book of James very relevant to a Christian’s walk today. The author states the goal of this book is to move the message of James ” from your heart to your hands, to move you from merely hearing God’s commands to actually doing them.” As a Christian desiring to put my faith in to action that makes a difference in the world around me, I found this book to be a wonderfully inspiring resource. The book is also beautifully designed, with a textured imitation leather cover that makes it an attractive book to display or give as a gift.Rating: 5/5 stars.

This author has a captivating way of writing expository teaching of Bible books...such as James from the New Testament. Each chapter is so convicting and challenging ...teaching truths that can be applied to one's life. Dr O.S.Hawkins has written several books about the Bible and each is as valuable as the other. The Code books can be read over and over again with something new to learn each time!

If you're looking for a book on the Book of James this is a really good one. If you know anything about the book of James and that's why you're trying to find a more in-depth study on it you will not be disappointed by this book.

The author has done a great job of defending the truths of this short, yet vital book of the Bible. This is an amazing commentary of the book of James. I was completely impressed by this book.

My Faith Riders group is studying this book. It has great answers to a lot of problems we go through everyday. I have found this book to be very helpful when dealing with everyday problems. I have extreme PTSD from Vietnam ànd I find a lot of peace reading in James and studying in this book.

Practical...simplicity in word and thoughts....endearing enhancement to my daily devotional time. I especially appreciate the viewpoint of recognizing stress in our every day lives and very concrete ways to counteract it. Keep up the good work......have already had 3 people order it after we have communicated about it.
