This is perfect for a toddler, preschooler or kindergartener. There is a song to match on iTunes. We love this book. It also helps with memory skills as you read through the various days of the week and the food you eat on each day. As a teacher, I love this book.

This book is SO much fun! I love reading to my toddler and finding fun new books for her to enjoy! I already love Eric Carle, but to my surprise I missed this book my entire childhood! The song is so much fun and I actually enjoy it just as much as my daughter! This is a great book to add to your collection for your kids at home or kids in your classroom!

I use this book in my toddler/parent music classes. If you simply read the book from the first page to the last, you will probably have an experience like the other reviewers who claimed that it's bland and boring. You MUST GO TO THE VERY BACK PAGE FIRST and look at the song printed there. This book is meant to be sung, not read. When you sing the song, the book comes alive, and children and adults both love it. To make it even better, add a gesture/sound effect for each food. For instance, when you sing about "Saturday, Chicken," pause and make chicken bawking noises and flap your arms like a chicken. The folks who had a negative experience with this book aren't using it the way it was intended.

2 & 3 year olds at story hour really enjoy this book! It's fun to "read" it as a sing-a-long. Have done this one for almost 20 years as it's a classic for young children.

Kids love the pictures for Eric Carle books, and this one is no exception. I bought this book for my daughter, who is teaching English to children in Germany. The words are simple enough for new English language learners, and the board book format will hold up well with many hands using it!

I had this book for my son who is now 23 years old. Well, a slightly different version that is no longer sold. I sent this to my sweet Grand-Nephew. This is a big book with face friendly, colorful pictures. I would read it to my boy in the morning to think about what day it is. I have a more detailed review of the nearly identical book which is now out of print. (Today Is Monday/a Song Book and Wall Frieze: A Song Book and Wall Frieze by Susan Baum )

Love that it's a board book, not too easy for my son to tear pages :) Nice colorfull puctures, easy for kids to remember days of the week, animals and foods. After we were done witht he book it was still as good as new and I passed it along to a friend who says her son love it too.

Such a fun Eric Carle book - there’s a good YouTube animated video with a song to read it with. I’ve read it (I’m a teacher) with toddlers and preschoolers and they all love it.
Great book.
Excellent service and reliable. The story is a great one to read with your little ones. Even if your kids don't speaking english, it is a good story to read in order to start learning new vocabulary. I love this author and all his stories because they are very enternaining and creative. Kids like all, the story and the illustrations.

we are fan of Carle's. this is the fifth book we bought and it is genuinely fab! effective and instructive and pics are original. the format is big and it is paper. quite nice for my toddler, we love shapes and sizes when reading books. actually quite clever that he changes it often! this makes the book a sensorial instrument too
