Bought this for my youngest (9) child and she loves it! Obsessed with everything ocean this helps keep her interested and learning. It contains sections: Seashore, Open Ocean, Seabed, Deep Sea, Coral Reef, and Polar Seas.Filled with various animals some popular and others a bit rare but overall I often catch her reading it here and there. One of her favorite books.

This was the best book I found in looking for something to do a unit on sea animals with my daughter (we homeschool). We are doing simple file folders of basic facts and picture of each animal and this was the ticket. Instead of having to look through lots of books and piece it together, this book is almost like a little dictionary of sea creatures. Probably about 3 animals to a page with an illustration and just the basic facts in about 3 sentences on each animal. Since that was all we wanted, it fit the bill. It's not in debth on the animals, just a short overview.

My 6yr old wanted a book on sea creatures from santa and i(santa) got her this one, when she opened it she loved it, spent about 10mins on it before opening the next gift. Mum and dad are also glued to it. A perftect win win situation.

This book is really geared to 5 or 7 year old through about 11 or 12 year olds. I have a grandson who is almost 3, but I purchased some books aimed at younger children to give him after it arrived. From reading some reviews, I thought it had a few animals per page with just a little information. I will save it for later.Sent quickly and arrived in good condition.

Wonderful comprehensive book about marine life. My 4 yr. old grandson finds the pictures fascinating, and the text will continue to interest him once he learns to read. More academic than fun, better for a very inquisitive child.

We love this book! This was purchased for my 4 1/2 year old daughter who loves marine life. The content of this book is a little mature for her, but that ensures we have lots of material to learn as she gets older. The pictures are beautiful. I highly recommend.

Excellent guide to sea creatures
This books is excellent. I got it for a 5 year old (even though it was advertised as 'from Age 8'). He loved it and we went through every creature in the book on the first sitting. The drawings and pictures are great, and there is just enough text for a child of that age to get to grips with. I recommend this highly for any child who loves their sea creatures!

Fantastic book for any child who is interested in sea life. I purchased this for my 4 year old great nephew who loved it ( had to sit and read it with him in one go!) although the book is marketed for over 8 year olds. Good pictures with simple to understand information about each creature. I would recommend this book.
