Two of my kids needed songs for a recital and I wanted the songs to be something they would be excited about so I got this. From the reviews I wasn't sure which level it would work best for. My daughter who is 8 and has been taking lessons for two years is playing the easiest song in the book. She's been practicing a couple of weeks and is still only doing the right hand. She will get it but it will take a lot but if work. My 9 year old who has been playing three years is doing a harder one and it's coming along. It's probably more his level than my daughter's. He is in the Alfred books level 3. My 11 year old plays it for fun. I wouldn't get it for a beginner unless they just want to play the right hand.

Our son started piano a few months ago and has not had interest lately. We tried to sweeten the deal by asking him what songs he would want to play when he's learned more. He said Veggietales. This book came (little slow, but great condition) and the level is perfect! I'm so very excited that he'll be able to play this probably by mid-year. I was afraid it would be more difficult. It's generally a single note melody with a whole note chord on the bass cleft, so not too much movement, not too many chords to figure out. It's great!

This book is full of all of the great Veggie Songs, but they are harder to play than I was hoping.

the late elementary/early intermediate piano student. Lots of fun easy arrangements that are easily accessible for summer fun reading, extra assignments, and just plain fun. Moms who learned piano a long time ago may enjoy playing this for the kids.
