About the Author
Kiel Phegley is a writer of books and comics for young readers such as the award-winning graphic novel STRIKERS with artist Jacques Khouri. He's also written over ten titles starring Sonic the Hedgehog including the novelizations of the Blue Blur's blockbuster films and a raft of other books featuring popular characters. Kiel lives with his family in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he teaches college students about children's books and eats too many chili dogs.

My son is a huge sonic fan! These are great stories to read with your child each night. Quick and easy for parents and long and engaging enough for your child to get quality time and all the values of being read to! Get it for your little Sonic fan! The stores are wonderful!

The stories are NOT 5 minutes and my 6 year old complains they are too long.

We are big fans of the 5 minute story books here, especially with two kids who both want their own story at bedtime. My son is a huge Sonic fan and I was excited to see this for him. Until we went to read it ... Each story is about 20 pages long, and there are only about 3-4 images (usually half or quarter page) in each. It's basically just a wall of text. I read pretty fast but when reading out loud to a child you can't rush it too much - these take 10-15 minutes per story. We've read two so far and both kids were bored after the 3rd page. I'm sad to say I wouldn't recommend for a child under 7 or 8, and even then only if they're an avid reader and don't mind the lack of pictures .
