About the Author
Rachel holds dual master’s degrees in early childhood development and music education. She is an advocate for children’s rights and works to ensure that all kids have access to high-quality early childhood education. Her wonderful little boy inspired the show and continues to inspire her work everyday! Her husband and creative partner for the show is Mr. Aron, aka HERBIE!
MONIQUE DONG loved drawing, imagining and creating as a child. At age 19, she headed off to the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied animation at City Varsity and discovered the magic of storytelling! She has worked on animation for the Disney channel, including the project Florrie’s Dragons. Today, Monique is a freelance illustrator and her passion is creating images that encompass light, life, warmth, and color.

Our baby really enjoys this book! It aligns perfectly with Miss Rachel’s YouTube videos, so they recognize the songs and love the familiar tunes. That said, it’s a bit on the long side, so if you have a younger or more active baby, it might not hold their attention all the way through. Still, it’s a cute and fun read, and any baby or family who loves Miss Rachel will definitely enjoy it!

Ms. Rachel is a staple in my house! This is such a cute book and has a lot of the songs and lessons she covers in her show. My little girl (20 months) wants me to read it every day and sometimes several times a day. Illustrations are bright and colorful and has a cute ending.

My 2 year old has been watching Ms. Rachel since he was a few months old! Her YouTube show was only thing I felt ok letting him watch. He has learned so much from her and her team. Colors, ABC’s, numbers, so much he has learned from her! Her energy and demeanor is so sweet and caring on screen and you can tell she really cares about kids and wants them to learn! At such a young age he has advanced and learned so much just from her show! He loves all the songs, wheels on the bus, icky sticky bubble gum, I’m so happy, the rainbow song, everything! He loves to sing and dance to Ms. Rachel! Every time he hears “HI FRIENDS” his face light up! Mr. Aaron, Herbie, Ms. Jules, the diverse multi racial cast, the sign language, feelings, everything! This show is a gem! So amazing how far the show has come to see them collaborate with Elmo even!Anyways fast forward to now, my son is a bit older and has outgrown a lot of the baby stuff but still adores Ms.Rachel. When I saw she came out with a line I knew I had to get something for him even if it was just to have as a core memory keepsake because Ms. Rachel’s show will always be a big part of his growing up as a little baby to toddlerhood. He’s a bit too big for the baby items in the line but this book though! When I saw this book I knew I had to have it!I pre ordered it and when it arrived, we opened the box, he saw the cover and his face lit up! When we read the book oh my goodness he was so happy! Reading it out loud was so fun too because we are so familiar with the cadence and the flow of how Ms Rachel talks since watched her all the time! It’s like having Ms. Rachel right there with you! He’s sort of a big boy now but when I read her classic lines like “say open!” he knew exactly what to say! He would fill in the blanks for me as I read! He squealed in delight to each page read! And the songs! His absolute favorites! Wheels on the bus is his favorite! He loves singing “ei ei Oo” for old McDonald! Here I was thinking my toddler has forgotten about this and out grew this phase but like magic this book unlocked that part of his brain and he knew everything! He rolled his arms to wheels on the bus, did the bubble gum song, and was so happy. He waved hi and bye to the pages! It’s so interactive I can’t think of any other book like it! The special surprise at the end actually made me tear up. What a perfect ending to a book and it completely sums up Ms. Rachel and her whole character. She’s like the Mr Rogers of today for little kids who want the kids to remember they are special they are loved and they are unique and amazing!I have bought tons of books for my son, but this one is the only one he keeps reaching for every night since we got it and has not gotten sick of it yet. On the first read he had me read it like 3 times! I love how it’s not a short book either! There isn’t anything else like it! It’s a special book that will always remind us of a special time that will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you so much Ms. Rachel!PS please come out with more books please! There is so much content on the show that would translate so wonderfully to books and this was proof of that! A whole series even! I’ll pre order everything lol thank you Ms. Rachel and team for making a wonderful show and this wonderful book!

My granddaughter - age 16 months - loves Miss Rachel. The book is great except I would rather have it in a board book format. It won’t last long since she wants to turn the pages herself.

As a first time mom I really appreciate the helpful tips on baby learning and development from this book!

We are obsessed with Ms. Rachel! She is amazing and we are loving this book. My one year old loves books and loves carrying them around. I wish this book was a board book or there was another option for it to be a board book. Overall this is a super cute book and love the illustrations!
Exactly like a mini episode
My twin 14 month girls adored this book, they knew exactly who it was the moment they saw the cover and sat through the entire book excited and pointing (doesn't happen often). It's exactly like a mini episode of ms rachel, for $10 it's perfect i would have paid more for a board book version though as I'll have to keep this one away unless we are reading it.
