Danielle Steel does have a talent for weaving a story that swings one way and then the other leaving you not sure what is next. Ardith Law, age sixty-two, is a famous Hollywood actress with several Academy awards, is waiting for a new script to come along while her gentleman companion and fellow actor Bill West goes off to London for the filming of his new movie. When Bill has a heart attack and dies, Ardith’s personal assistant helps her take care of arrangements and then life becomes really confusing. You will enjoy this book.

Upside Down by Danielle Steel is a romance novel born of another generation. That may sound like a bad thing, but it is not. This author has the gift for taking normal human life problems and through well crafted characters make them interesting and compelling. Upside Down is a light read, but not light on heart and soul. And at the heart of every Danielle Steel novel is a message. In this one, that message centers on acceptance of people’s differences. I have to admit I’ve been hooked on this author’s books since college, which was more years ago than I care to admit. They will certainly not garner any literary awards but they have always brought me a great deal of pleasure. And judging from the number of copies sold, I’d say I’m definitely not alone. ⠀⠀⠀

The narrative possessed an engaging premise, yet the plot progression followed a highly anticipated trajectory, rendering the storyline somewhat foreseeable and lacking in genuine surprise or narrative complexity.

I was not aware that this was a used book. When I opened the package I was surprised to see many of the pages had been turned down and as I refer to them “dog-eared”. It was not in perfect condition, but is still readable, so I will continue reading the book, but I am bothered by the condition of the book.

It started off a bit slow and wasn’t holding my attention but then a chapter or two in I could not put it down.I have been a huge fan for over 20 yrs💕💕Now on to find another DS book to read !!
