About the Author
Sara Palacios is the illustrator of many books for children. She is also the recipient of the Pura Belpré Illustrator Honor for her work on Marisol McDonald Doesn’t Match and the Américas Book Award for Between Us and Abuela. My granddaughter was unfortunate to be in the first and second grade during Covid and it didn’t do any favors for her reading. We have been having a tutor come and help her all throughout the summer. Her tutor is a teacher of 25 years and it has helped her tremendously. She absolutely loved this book and reads it to her baby sister. We have not found a book by Michelle Houts that we have not enjoyed! The artwork is beautiful in the book. It puts the frosting on the cake. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Michelle Houts has written another wonderful story. Her stories are always well written and touch upon life’s experiences. As a former preschool teacher, I appreciate age appropriate books with lovely stories. I highly recommend all of Ms Houts’ books.

A wonderful book about hope and not losing faith! I love how Hopefully remembered all the adventures he heard in the books she read. The ending will fill your heart. I can't wait to read this to my first graders, they are going to love it and I know we will read it more than once.
