I've been living with these cards in an intentional way for about a week. On the very first day I was prompted to do 7 minutes of free wrting. By day's end I had turned that verbal compost pile into a poem I am quite happy with. The next day I was prompted to use lists in my creative process. I started by making a iist of all the creative things I want to be doing with my time, and then another list about what keeps me from doing it. I experienced a couple of simple insights that have made me more creative. Right now I'm experimenting with a watercolor and ink design that has been in my mind for a long time. These cards are simple prompts which open things up just enough for your own creativity to flow.

I just got my deck of cards last week and am just getting familiar with them. I used one of the cards this morning with my women's writing circle as our writing prompt for the week. The messages, questions, and quotes on each card are set up to allow for an unlimited wealth of direction, food for thought, and writing. The card we pulled today was from the Perspective section and the topic was Revolution. Bonnie used a teaching from Audre Lorde as food for thought and then sets up 3 questions for continued prompting. The deck is composed of 3 sections of cards: Action, Perspective, and Intention. Pull one, two, or three and come up with unlimited possibilities in what these cards can bring forth!

Kickstart Creativity is a fun and productive way to approach problem solving and relationship building personally, professionally and individually. The cards spark deep and moving conversations and actions. They could be used in a classroom or a boardroom. We even used them as a conversation starter during happy hour and discover some incredibly creative and revealing ideas. Everyone needs one of these! Makes a great gift as well!

Its so nice to have something simple to prompt you to be creative. When I need to "recharge"/"take a break", I just pull out a card and it calls me to act, invites me to think, or helps me look anew at the world. Its like a cup of tea, and after, it feels like an endorphin rush. I will never again say, "I am not creative."

I found this to be a beautifully crafted set that provides endless inspiration for creativity and mindfulness. It is great for individual reflection and engagement in the creative process, but would also work really well in group settings. Absolutely ingenious!

This deck is a godsend for both my own creative practice and my work as a teacher of creative writing. I challenge anyone to work with these cards and NOT find that they open up ideas and spark inspiration. I recently had to come up with a new project plan for a residency application, and these cards helped me put together a solid idea for a new book-length project in under an hour. It felt, I daresay, like magic. Whitehouse has put so much thought and intellectual acumen into this deck, and the possibilities for its use are endless. Everybody anybody interested in creative work should have a KICKSTART CREATIVITY deck on their desk!

I was looking for something more to stir a creative spark, however, the cards / material are dry and do nothing for me. I shared them with two friends without prejudice and they both had the same opinion.... Others have similar ideas and product... this one was a 'swing and a miss'!
Love them!
These cards are practical whilst also giving a variety of strategies to be more innovative. Love that I can also use them for groups i work with so that they can experience applying the suggestions.
