I bought this book for my youngest grandson. I liked that the book encourages young readers to answer detailed questions about a passage that they have read. It is very important to understand what you read in regard to the details and the author's message of a passage. My grandson's reading scores improved significantly at his school after he completed the exercises. But I admit that I had to strongly encourage him to read the passages and answer the questions.

This is a very helpful tool that helped my son during summer break. My son did not have much of a regression as opposed to other kids. This workbook kept him engaged.

I love that they have multiple choice questions. My daughter struggles with reading comprehension, and she does better with the multiple choice questions.

Stories are a bit short. We used these for summer, to keep up on reading comprehension. Worked great, will purchase again for next summer.

Great resource for language arts skills. I like that covers inference, supporting details, and main idea as these seem to be the most difficult skills for students to master. These pages can be done quickly in class followed by discussion, or they serve as manageable homework.

For our state standards, it isn’t rigorous enough. The questions are too simple but as a parent buying the for at home practice, it would be good.
