My 9 year old grandson and I love this little book. It's good for all ages and is really a learning tool. For example, he knows the word for something but has learned that there are other words that mean the same and it's fun to use that different word. That's just one section of the book.

Geared for grades 3-7, The Scholastic Dictionary of Synonyms, Antonyms, and Homonyms has a print-size suitable for ALL ages, even ME!This book is a portable, and, inexpensive. It's not a, standard, dictionary; it's for people that don't know the difference between a Beatle and a beetle. With more than 12,000 synonyms and 10,000 antonyms, this is great reference for young writers. For kids who don't know whether to use "principle" or "principal"; "Stationary" or "Stationery"; Effect/Affect, etcetera. This handy guide also contains 2,000 homonyms. I'm grateful that this great book relieves me of words that grated MY mind.

My nine year old really likes this book. I enjoyed the enthusiasm for learning and comparing words this book provided, so for that, I give it four stars. We noticed a duplication with throne in the homonyms section. I was disappointed to receive a copy with a two inch section torn off on the back cover and scuff wear along the top and bottom edges when I did buy a new copy. Bolo was very responsive and replaced the book the next day.

This is a great book for kids 8 and up to use when really starting to build on there writing skills and learning how to write paragraphs and which is the correct to use in the right sentence etc...I purchased this before for my daughter who is now 19 and now for my son who is 9 and the 19 year old was like I want this book lol it was a great tool too use and I can use it in college....overall it's great book

Note: the item description clearly said that is a POCKET dictionary, with 12,000 synonyms, 10,000 antonyms, and 2,000 homonyms. So that being said... this book is a helpful tool for kids at school. The 1st part of the book is synonyms and antonyms. The antonyms are in italic font after the list of synonyms. The 2nd part is the homonyms from page 208 -237. From pages 238-240 include helpful information about the parts of speech.

単語の羅列でイラストも無く味気ない。同義語の後に( )の中に反義語が書かれているが、語彙力の不足している小生には難しすぎる。（toeic680程度の語彙力では、無理がある。）
