This is really a good cookbook, I feared each recipe would need a Betty Crocker product in it. Not so. I have actually been cooking from it and my husband is asking for the recipes again. I'm very happy with it and there are so many photos of the food. Comfort foods but not old fashioned, a bit changed up.

The recipes are not one pot. Every recipe I looked at (about 30% of book) require 2-3 bowls, pies plates, skillets or whatever. I was literally looking for one-pot recipes, where everything from start to finish is in one piece of cook/bakeware, not recipes that use multiple for preparation and then "cooks in one pot". The point of one-pot meals for me is to dirty less dishes.Also, the recipes I looked at used multiple prepackaged, processed ingredients like canned soup or refrigerator biscuits and dough. One recipe might have 2 cans of soup and refrigerator biscuit dough. Not at all what I was looking for.
