I'm helping an 8-year-old girl prepare for 3rd grade. She is bright and interested, but has had trouble with reading. She really enjoys this workbook. The colors, stories, images, and puzzles entertain her; the work is exactly right for her level. Between our sessions, she has asked if she may take pages with her to complete at home, for fun.

I got this book for my going-into-third-grader and it's way too simple/easy for her. If you're looking for something that takes under about 10 minutes per page, it might be for you. However, we were hoping for something a bit more advanced.
