Mary lives in Connecticut. Natalie makes her home nearby in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. Mary is the author of all the Magic Tree House fiction titles as well as many more books for kids.
SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children'sopera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. Sal lives and works in New York with his wife, Nancy.

Though I bought this book for my grandchildren, I really enjoyed reading it myself. As a student of history - particularly American and religious history, I found this book informative and accurate. I would have liked for it to give a bit more information about the native Wampanoag peoples. I think the Wampanoag were a vital and critical part of the story. Their contribution cannot be over emphasized. I wish the peace that the early Pilgrims and Wampanoag enjoyed could have lasted. I highly recommend this book to young readers in the 2nd through 4th grades.

I teach second grade and this is a book we use every year in November the students absolutely love learning about the history of the pilgrims. The authors give relevant details that the kids understand well.
