Georg Rill has been a researcher and an educator for more than thirty years. He is professor at the OTH Regensburg, Germany.His first book, entitled Simulation von Kraftfahrzeugen, was published in 1994. Recently, he contributed the part Multibody Systems and Simulation Techniques to the book Vehicle Dynamics of Modern Passenger Cars.
Abel Arieta Castro is a research engineer at EFS, a major supplier of the automotive industry. He developed a robust and fault tolerant integrated control system to improve the stability of road vehicles in critical driving scenarios during his PhD. As a post-doc he spend several months at the OTH, where he deepened his knowledge on vehicle dynamics and tire modeling.

Useful but...
I am a perfomance engineer (racing) and I use matlab daily. I decided to buy the book to learn a bit more the physics behind some vehicle dynamics aspects.I have to say that some hints were very useful (especially some paragraphs of the tyre and longitudinal/lateral dynamics chapters). In general, I suggest the book to current/fresh students to get a brief but good panoramic about vehicle dynamics aspects.The three stars are because something can be still improved, such as:- Make matlab codes more readable (parameters names are sometimes confusing) and more present (some paragraphs must come with the code)- Extend some paragraphs (especially the ones in which no equation is present; such as the chassis roll stiffness section)- Skip some unnecessary oversimplifications- Sometimes fundamental mathematical passages are missing (so the reader can be lost).
Math formulas hard to read on Kindle's edition
Hi, the concepts and explanations are very good but the formatting of the formulas is really really bad on kindle's edition. Here's a sample:M(y)=∑i=1k[∂v0i,0T∂zmi∂v0i,0∂z+∂ω0i,0T∂zΘi,0∂ω0i,0T∂z]It's simply not readable!Any fix?Cheers,sm
