This textbook claims to be objective, but it’s clearly politically biased. The authors consistently favor one side of the political spectrum while portraying the other in a negative light. Important issues like healthcare, immigration, and voting rights are presented through a partisan lens, with little effort to show balanced perspectives.Instead of teaching students how to think critically about government and politics, the book feels like it’s trying to push an agenda. A textbook should explain facts and encourage debate, not steer students toward one ideology. For anyone looking for a fair, balanced introduction to American politics, this book is disappointing and not worth relying on. Better said, save your money!

1.0 out of 5 stars Unapologetically Biased

The authors of this required textbook leave little to the imagination of where they fall on the political spectrum. It's a shame that today's students are denied balanced learning opportunities, but rather one-sided liberal rhetoric promoting division. If you're looking for a neutral explanation of how our government functions, you won't find it here. If you like your textbooks straight from the desk of MSNBC, this is your book!
