I enjoyed reading this book, and it was sometimes hard to put down. It is very descriptive, and a captivating story. However, I probably will not follow up with this author because I found it a little too descriptive with love and sex scenes. If that bothers you also, I would not recommend the book.

Kristen Hannah has a facility with words, and many of her novels are award winners. This one is an easy read, but could readily be made into a Hallmark movie. Meh!

What I loved most about this book was the tender way the mother’s love for her children was written. The beginning with her love for her little boy touched my heart and I was hoping it would continue on in that vein but it was abruptly changed by the incident that went on for the rest of the book so that was disappointing. The adult love story didn’t really affect me as much but all in all it was a good book.

Kristin Hannah is a master at taking a marriage and deep diving into all the nuances of the husband and wife's relationship. A brilliant storyteller, Hannah covers new ground by examining the depth of the husband's love and the lengths he will go to unselfishly to save the life of his wife who is in a coma. The husband Liam, is one of my favorite characters in a book ever. He is open, abundantly affectionate and emotionally bountiful with his beloved wife and kids. I pulled an all-nighter on this one. I couldn't stop reading. Deeply touching book with great life lessons as a bargain.

Liam Campbell grew up in Last Bend, WA, living in the shadow of his larger than life father. He finally got away when’s he was accepted into Harvard. But he ended up back there as a doctor at the local hospital.Mikaela Luna was a nurse at the hospital. She had a sad upbringing with a father who had no interest in her and mother, Rosa who put her misdirected love for that man ahead of her daughter.Liam and Mikaela met when Mikaela was nurse for Liam’s dying father. She had a young daughter, Jacey, from a previous marriage. He fell for her immediately and they started dating. When she fell pregnant they married and along came Brett. 9 years later Mikaela had an accident with a fall from a horse which left her in a coma. Liam came across some startling information about her past which she had never revealed, and he had never sought. With Mikaela still in the coma and Liam doing all he can to bring her out of it a mention of someone from her past seemed to generate a reaction from her. Liam queries how much Mikaela actually loves him.The author highlights forever love verses passionate love, decisions in life that can affect one’s life, and what it can really mean to be a celebrity in the glitz of the high life. This is a touching story about a number of lives and the meaning of forever love..

Wer einmal ein Buch von K.Hannah gelesen hat wird süchtig danach sie schreibt so real und mitfühlend-- ich hoffe es wird noch viele Bücher von ihr geben.
