About the Author
Jo Logan, RN, PhD, is an adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa, School of Nursing, where she taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She is an affiliate member of the Ottawa Health Research Institute. Her research interests include evidence-based practice and supportive care. She is co-developer of the Ottawa Model of Research Use, which has been used in many research and clinical projects and has been described in numerous articles and book chapters. She has presented many workshops on professional practice and research use and was a director of Nursing Research, Education, and Quality Improvement at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

I had to get this book for a class for my APRN, but I'm glad I did. This little bugger lays out all the info you need to know in an easy-to-read, simple format. I find it best as a review of all those little details that evaporate as soon as you finish a statistics or research class. My only complaint is that the blue font is hard to read in a certain light, but this little sucker is going into my permanent library

I wish I had this at the start of my RN to BSN program. It will help with the rest of my classes! This is to the point on how to despiser peer reviewed research essays. It’s a quick 86 page booklet that explains what each part of these essays mean. Love it!

For the price you can't beat this book. The author gets to the point without giving dramatic explanations on defining research terms. A very good guide to quickly help you on your literature searches separating the good from the garbage.
