Once again Patterson and another writer have put together a wonderful story. Lots of fun and interesting charactors. Well thought out story and a real heart warming ending for two really carring people.A nice summer read. Highly recommend.

I had a hard time getting into this story. Usually I get sucked into his books from the beginning. We have five people all from the same family who are kidnapped from three different locations, all at the same time. And of course the ransom is One Billion Dollars!! Is the ransom paid? Are the kidnappers captured? Are the kidnappii's released unharmed? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Mr. James Patterson!!!

This is a great murder/mystery! It has all the ingredients for that reading that one can't put down.

I enjoyed guessing at some of the twists and turns. I'd give myself about 50%. I read these books during my daily one hour on the treadmill and the time flies.

I enjoyed the beginning, and surprise ending but the middle seemed too disjointed for my liking. The character development was vague, at best, with too much left up in the air, in my humble opinion. It was a formula story, with requiring not much imagination for being a tedious read.

Three kidnappings are carried out simultaneously in a well planned manner. The kidnappers are identified by number, not name. The victims are the fifth wife, oldest son and two youngest children of a multi billionaire. A task force involving FBI, the billionaire's security company and a politician. What becomes gradually clear to the reader is that the victims may not all be victims and the FBI may have some conspirators in their midst. i found this book a fast read with short chapters moving easily between the FBI and the various victims and their kidnappers. The actual characters don't feel that well developed but perhaps it doesn't matter as the puzzle is the fun part of the book.

something didn’t add up ….. still an exciting read
It’s 2:30 Sunday morning and I have an early start but I couldn’t put this book down. Good, However, I would like to know how the kidnappers were paid their share when the masterminds still had all the money. That didn’t make sense to me. But otherwise I enjoyed it
Billion Dollar Ransom - James Patterson
I’ve been reading this book on and off all day in between doing the other things I had to do. Now at a few mins to midnight I’ve got to the end. Great story. Great characters. Great twists and turns with surprises along the way. So typical James Patterson. Would like to see this turn into a series with the two main characters continuing.
Typical Patterson thriller...one more chapter-itis!
This novel unwinds slowly, with decent character development and story setup. As the title indicates, it's about a record-setting ransom, and we get a look into both the kidnappers and the victims over thte span of the book. And of ourse there's the twist at the end, although this time there's two twists. A solid read, and an interesting plot.
Readable but slow

I had a hard time getting into this story. Usually I get sucked into his books from the beginning.
