My wife strongly suggested I read this book, She was right on. Well written with great believable dialog. The twists and turns of the story and plot were so entertaining. The buildup to the final chapters kept me reading. I really liked the way/means the writers wrapped up their story. They did not leave the reader "hanging" by finishing the story and the characters. Thanks, a great read that cut into my sleeping time!

I enjoyed reading 80% of the book, but 20% was political BS. It was an intriguing story, full of suspense and misfortune. The non-political side was well written, however the political side was so ridiculous, it pulled down on the script.

Who knew Clinton was such an elegant wordsmith? You feel with the characters, their good experiences ,as well as, their bad experiences. Patterson’s quick paced storytelling is an outstanding part of this book. If you love intrigued and want some insights of how Washington works, THE FIRST GENTLEMAN, is for you.

The First Gentleman is a great read from beginning to end. There are villains galore. A writer trying to make sense of all the twists and turns in a complicated threesome involving, love, friendship, politics, lying, and disloyalty over a 20 year period.

This book was definitely a page turner to the end, but it was the end that kept me from giving it a 5-star rating. In their efforts to wrap it up, they left out a lot of details that would have given me, as the reader, better closure. I don't want to spoil this for anyone who hasn't read it yet, so I won't get into what disappointed me. It is just my personal opinion, and I have no doubt many will disagree with me. The storyline itself was wonderful, and it had a lot of twists and turns that kept it going. I read it well into the early morning hours to finish it. Once it got to the trial, I couldn't put it down. I had to know if the subtle hints from the authors made my suspicions true... Excellent read... highly recommend it.

The book captured my attention very quickly. The narrative became a page turner until just before the ending. Then it became like something out of a "Hollywood/Hallmark" story. It could have been a 5 star review up until then.

The details about the presidency in this book make it tough to put down. And the mystery isn’t bad either! Sorry to see it end, but glad the way it did.

Bill Clinton delivers a captivating and insightful story, blending sharp political wit with heartfelt moments. The character of Li was a standout for me—intelligent, layered, and deeply engaging. She brought such strength and nuance to the story, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way. A smart, entertaining read that kept me turning the pages.
Anyone would like the plot as well as the way the White House ought to run.
As usual for these gentlemen the book was well written. The story moved quickly and was so enjoyable to read. There was suspence mixed with a good story-line.

Excellent book no matter who wrote it!
No matter whether you are GOP or Dem (or Canadian like me) this book is fascinating. Not only is it an excellent murder mystery but Clinton provides fascinating government internal information and Patterson the legal. Excellent read.
