It is a fantastic reading which provides great insight into a new concept which can motivate everyone to go beyond their limits and reach the very verge of their frontiers.The book has been written in an academic manner that is good and not so good at the same time. Makes it more reliable and trustworthy yet a very lengthy reading. All in all, strongly recommend as an advice on how to become an expert.

Listened to audible version. The writing style clear and approachable. The theory and concpets were broken down and supported with stories that illustrated the point.Had heard the author on podcasts and was familiar with concept from Malcom Gladwell' s book outliers. With academic training in genetics and education, I believe both have points about human potential.As a result of this book I will be delving back into the original research and other books by Ericsson. I will also be looking for opportunities to apply the research in my profession as a training designer.

As an engineer I have never done well learning unless it was to do something or discover something. Now thanks to this book I better understand why.

The perception of humans being born with more 'talent' than others are put to bed in this book. The author/s open up our eyes to what can be acheived in skill development in all areas of our lives if we focus on deliberate and specific skill development. As an aspiring programmer, often trying to fasttrack my skill development, I have learnt now to focus on building programming skills by going back to basics and honing those skills in order to be a better developer down the line.I would say that if you are a parent and want your children to succeed and perform at a top level in academia, sport or music, this book worth a read. However, anyone looking to increase skills or performance on any subject, follow the advice in this book. Take control of your life, education, finances or career through puposeful skill and habit development.

The book is well written and the topics captivating but I feel the need for more on how to develop the techniques for specific purposes. At least some hints on who else are already using it and how they are doing it. The example in Education is good but the reader needs more. At the end of the book I felt some emptyness on where should I go from here.

It's concepts can be applied to develop ground breaking methods to move the frontiers of every field. It's message is relevant for anyone wanting to improve their own abilities, wonderfully helpful for parents and extremely useful for educators of all kinds. I gave it five stars for the simplicity yet thorough research-backed storytelling.

I've admired and followed Anders work for years. This book crystallises the concepts and process of expertise into a single volume that can be digested and applied by anyone. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to develop themselves to the full during their life. Great book!

Amazing resource if you wanna learn anything
I've read quite a few books similar such as 12 week year, atomic habits etc. those all pretty much say same thing (wake up early, get the work done blah blah). But with this book you actually walk away feeling like you learned something new to apply to your life and practical advice on how to implement it. If you're a coach/parent too I'd highly recommend picking this up to set your children/students up for the future
