About the Author
Clive Staples Lewis (1898–1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. He was a Fellow and Tutor in English Literature at Oxford University until 1954, when he was unanimously elected to the Chair of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge University, a position he held until his retirement. He wrote more than thirty books, allowing him to reach a vast audience, and his works continue to attract thousands of new readers every year. His most distinguished and popular accomplishments include Out of the Silent Planet, The Great Divorce, The Screwtape Letters, and the universally acknowledged classics in The Chronicles of Narnia. To date, the Narnia books have sold over 100 million copies and have been transformed into three major motion pictures.
Joey Chou was born in Taiwan and grew up in Southern California. After graduating from Art Center College of Design with an illustration degree, he has been working as a Visual Development Artist on feature and TV animations for the past 10 years. Joey is currently working at Sony Picture Animation. He has worked on many productions, including The Emoji Movie, Hotel Transylvania 2, Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs 2, Surf's Up 2: WaveMania, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, and more. Prior to working for Sony, Joey has worked with other studios, including Disney, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, Paramount, Sony, and Netflix.
When not working in the animation world, Joey has illustrated many books for children, including Disney's It's a Small World, several Little Golden Books for Random House (I'm a Ballerina, I'm a Unicorn, I'm a Narwhal, and I'm a Dragon), Monster & Son with Chronicle, his own Make and Play novelty series for Nosy Crow, and a new Teeny Tiny series with Scholastic.

Every child should grow up with Narnia. This beginner's book is simple and clear. Attractive and sturdy. Buy the original version when your child is a few years older!

Great introduction book to the lamppost series. I read the books with my mom as a child so I bought this as a gift for my friends kids 2nd birthday. I also got a little beanbag lion to go with. Cute artwork and I read it to my own two year old to see if she would like their own copy and she stayed interested the whole time. Later becoming a Christian in my life it was so neat to compare the story with the story of Jesus. So grateful for CS Lewis work.

My only complaint is not having the other Chronicles of Narnia board books! My son loves this story and we wish there were more to finish the series. Hoping that this series can be complete some day.

Perfect to introduce reading and this wonderful classic story to little ones. About two sentences per page, bring and simple art. My 20 month old enjoys it. The board book format allows her to flip pages without any damage.

A perfect introduction for youngsters to the magical realm of Narnia
My 3 year old Fell in LOVE with Aslan
So grateful for this book. I love C.S Lewis. His "Mere Christianity" among others is my absolute favourite. I wanted to introduce C.S Lewis to my son. What can be better than Narnia itself. According to his age this was absolutely perfect.

A great book to introduce toddles to this classic! Does a good job of summarizing the main points of the story so it’s still understandable and fun for toddlers! Recommended!
Nice simple storytelling.
I waited a long time for this version to be published for my grandchildren.This is a long rather confusing story for youngsters but this precised version handles it very well.Nice charactisation and it brings to life Narnia for very young readers very well. They love it!
