About the Author
Eric Carle was the creator of more than seventy picture books for young readers.
Eric Carle was born in New York, USA. However, when he was just six, he moved with his parents to Germany. In 1952, after graduating from the prestigious Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart, he fulfilled his dream of returning to New York.
Eric Carle received many distinguished awards and honours for his work, including, in 2003, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award for his lifetime contribution to children's literature and illustration.
In 2002, fifty years after Carle's return to the United States, The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art was opened in Amherst, Massachusetts. Here visitors of all ages can enjoy, in addition to Eric Carle's work, original artwork by other distinguished children's book illustrators from around the world.

Gave these as xmas gifts for my 18mon old nephews. They love books, especially Eric Carle books! Problem with regular books they end up tearing the pages... so when I found these, I was excited to gift them. The mom's were super thrilled to get these and were appreciative for books over toys! win-win :)

I grew up reading Eric Carle books and was pretty stoked to start collecting some for my little ones! Never had or read any of these book but they are pretty awesome! My 3 year old got really into them! Eye catching illustrations and very colorful, Eric Carle classics.That being said, “Do you want to be my friend?” book was not really a surprise. It LITERALLY states in the back of the book that it is a “wordless picture book…” I wish more people would look through it and read the content before jumping to conclusions that it was a misprint. We had fun making up our own stories as to why the mouse wasn’t getting any responses.Overall, this collection was enjoyable!

One book is NOT missing the words, that's how the elephant cover "be my friend" book comes. The mouse is silent throughout the story except two pages. Read the back of the book, it states "wordless". Just want to be sure you know you have the full awesome story set. And the set is fantastic and worth every penny! My kids love it!

My two year old grandson can’t wait for reading time with this set of Eric Carle books. He reads along with his mother and appropriately points to each picture in the story as it is read. He pulls these books off his bookshelf every day.

I’ve always liked Eric Carle books so I was happy when I noticed my kids do too. They can always use more books and they really like when I read these books to them. They’re young too so they also like taking the books in and out of the box lol

Missing all text in one book- don’t buy
One of the books is missing all the text in it.Otherwise the books are nice for younger children.
